AmNote on Israeli Bio-Weapons Program: The Ethnic Bullet Jews are quick to denounce the persecution of Jews during World War II. However, Jews themselves are as guilty of racism as any Nazi. Israeli military aggression and subjugation of Palestinians in the Middle East is evidences of their racism. Proof of a Jewish racial conspiracy against Arabs and Blacks is Israel's "ethnic bullet"— a bio-weapons program for genetically targeting and killing Arabs and South African Blacks.         The design of a bioweapon works on a similar principle to gene therapy, but instead of replacing faulty genes that don't work it exploits genetic variations to target its victims. Bio-weapons can either be genetically engineered viruses, bacteria, or toxins that are lethal to the humans being targeted. The bio-weapons could be spread by spraying the organisms into the air or putting them in water supplies. The Israeli bio-weapons program is based at the biological institute in Nes Tziyona, the main research facility for Israel's clandestine arsenal of chemical and biological weapons, and manufacturing of chemical and biological weapons is based in Ness Ziona.         It's a "Brave New World", and so Jews best be careful of what they plan to do to others, less they have it done onto them. Because of intense inbreeding, Jews have many unique, recessive genetic markers that make them an excellent target for genetic bio-weapons. Are the Israeli bio-weapons possible? Yes they are! For example, the Jews are developing a bio-weapon against the Arabs using a site-directed mutagenesis techniques to fine tune cell receptor binding sites on the hepatitis C virus to specifically target cell surface receptors, and then by cloning a toxin gene, like the diphtheria toxin gene, into the HCV genome, a genetically engineered bio-weapon can be created to eradicate an ethnic group of people. However, this genocide strategy can be turned on the Jews as well!         The Blacks of South Africa should have no doubt that as soon as Israel perfects their targeted bioweapons against them, the Jews will use the bioweapons to reclaim the diamonds mines that were lost with the end of apartheid. Until then, Jews are using the Aids virus as a bioweapon against the South African Blacks to decimate their population, which explains why South Africa has the largest number of people living with HIV/Aids of any country in the world. American Blacks should also be forewarned about the use of targeted Black bioweapons against them, because of the long history of tension between American Blacks and Israel over Jewish racism in South Africa and the Middle East.         Israel has signed the Chemical Weapons Convention and the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, but refuses to sign the Biological Weapons Convention or the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaties. Yet, even though Israel hasn't signed these two treaties, the United States still gives Israel military aid that they use to build nuclear weapons and construct bio-weapons. Is killing Arabs using biological and nuclear weapons what the U.S. taxpayer wants done with their tax dollars? The anthrax attacks on Washington, DC and the New York area, as a result of the 9/11/01 airliner attacks, has both Senators and Congressmen up in arms against Osama bin Laden and each other. But, the fact that Israel has a bioweapons program that targets Arabs and Blacks doesn't stop the U.S.Congress from appropriating funds that are used by the Israelis for developing a germ warfare offensive against their neighbors. Since the United States has signed and supports the Biological Weapons Convention and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaties, why doesn't the U.S. require countries receiving foreign aid from America to sign them also, or not get the aid? Of course, the Israelis have to be monitored in order to assure they are complying with the treaties, since the Jews can't be trusted. When are Americans going to learn that they cannot trust the Jews?!   Report: Israel Has 'Ethnic Bullet'; Bio-Weapon Could Target Arabs —The Jerusalem Post Israel has Developed "Ethnic Bullets" That Are Tailored To Target Only Arabs, the London-based Foreign Report will suggest today. Quoting an "unconfirmed report" from its South African sources, the newsletter says Israeli scientists may have succeeded in developing a biological weapon that is based on aspects of the Arab genetic system. These elements were reported to have been isolated after years of research on Jews of Arab origin, particularly Iraqi Jews. The South African sources claimed that the "ethnic bullet" program was developed in apartheid South Africa for possible use against blacks. Cooperation between South African and Israeli scientists is said to have been close during that period. "The report reaching us says the Israelis took the project over and directed it against the Arabs," noted the newsletter. "One of the reported conclusions was that there was a genetic difference between Ashkenazi Jews and Jews of Arabic origin, and also between Jews and Arabs." [click here to continue]   Warning On 'Gene Warfare' Viruses —Sunday Times (London) The threat posed by gene warfare, in which weapons are developed to kill only certain racial types, will be officially recognised this week. A report commissioned by the British Medical Association (BMA) will warn government ministers that they should take seriously the prospect of lethal viruses capable of infecting only genes carried by people of particular ethnic groups. Such technology could be applied to destroying large groups of civilians, or for blackmailing governments into co-operation. Last November The Sunday Times revealed that Israel was working on a biological weapon that would harm Arabs but not Jews. The report, which has been written by Malcolm Dando, professor of international security at Bradford University, a leading expert on biotech weapons, says more work is needed to identify laboratories where such work is being carried out. The weapon, targeting victims by ethnic origin, is seen as Israel's response to Iraq's threat of chemical and biological attacks. In developing their "ethno-bomb," Israeli scientists are trying to exploit medical advances by identifying distinctive genes carried by some Arabs, then create a genetically modified bacterium or virus. The intention is to use the ability of viruses and certain bacteria to alter the DNA inside their host's living cells. The scientists are trying to engineer deadly micro-organisms that attack only those bearing the distinctive genes. The program is based at the biological institute in Nes Tziyona, the main research facility for Israel's clandestine arsenal of chemical and biological weapons. A scientist there said the task was hugely complicated because both Arabs and Jews are of semitic origin. But he added: "They have, however, succeeded in pinpointing a particular characteristic in the genetic profile of certain Arab communities, particularly the Iraqi people." The disease could be spread by spraying the organisms into the air or putting them in water supplies. The research mirrors biological studies conducted by South African scientists during the apartheid era and revealed in testimony before the truth and reconciliation commission. A spokesman for Cohen said yesterday that the argument broke out after Abdullah accused Israel of manufacturing chemical and biological weapons in Ness Ziona. Cohen then demanded that Abdullah retract his accusations, which, said Cohen, "have no basis in fact." Cohen tried to deflect criticism of Israel's ambigious stand on non-conventional weapons in the region, saying that "we still live in a region which has yet to accept our existence." He stressed however that Israel "strongly supports the principle of non-proliferation, and the establishment, in due course, of the Middle East as a nuclear-weapon-free zone." A designer plague that would kill only Serbs or a toxin engineered to affect Israelis or Kurds does not exist yet, but advances in biotechnology and the mapping of all human genes could be misused to develop lethal weapons within five to 10 years. Dr. Vivienne Nathanson, the head of health policy research at the British Medical Association (BMA), said genetic information is already being used to enhance biological weapons. "It would be a tragedy if in 10 years' time the world faces the reality of genetically engineered and possibly genetically targeted weapons," she told a news conference to launch a new book, "Biotechnology Weapons and Humanity." [click here to continue]   Oxfam Attacks Glaxo Over Price Of Aids Drugs —The Independent (London) The world's biggest drug company, GlaxoSmithKline, has been singled out by Oxfam in a new campaign against the high prices that western pharmaceutical companies charge for medicines in the world's poorest countries. The charity is calling on GSK to withdraw a legal challenge to efforts by the South African government to import medicines from overseas at lower prices than the industry charges within South Africa. The cost factor is particularly urgent for South Africa, a country with a large number of people living with HIV/Aids - about 20 per cent of the adult population. Oxfam says GSK should earmark 0.3 per cent of its sales for an international research fund run by the World Health Organisation and forego its patents in developing countries if they make drugs unaffordable. "This is a wake-up call for GSK," said Justin Forsyth, Oxfam's policy director. "The global pharmaceuticals industry runs a great risk if it continues to protect its profits and drug patents at all costs. "This is the shadowy side of globalisation," he added. A handful of anthrax particles sent through the mail to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., has sent Capitol Hill into an orbit of jitters and confusion and set off a civil war (luckily only of words) between the House and Senate. On Tuesday afternoon, Daschle set off alarm bells by calling the bacteria in his mail "potent." On Wednesday, he sponsored a news conference where a military expert claimed that the anthrax was "garden variety." Were the terms mutually exclusive? No one knew enough to know or ask. The House reacted strongly to the news that terrorism had blasted through the ancient privileges and new barricades that protect the Senate to invade the Hart Office Building. Thirty one employees tested positive for exposure, which is not to say infection, a distinction overlooked in the rush to panic. Speaker Dennis Hastert announced that the House would shut down. Actually, the Senate did pretty much the same thing, to do an environmental sweep. It just isn't saying so. [click here to continue]   Blacks, Jews and the Mideast —The Washington Post Right after a column of mine appeared criticizing the federal government for funding an AIDS program run by the Nation of Islam, an African American woman of my acquaintance called to say she agreed with what I had to say -- "But what about what Israel is doing in Lebanon?" That stunning non sequitur, occasioned by Israel's bombardment of southern Lebanon at the time, may well become a thing of the past. Who says so? Jesse Jackson does. Peace in the Middle East will bring peace here in America -- peace between Jews and African Americans, Jackson says. Denounced, particularly in the American-Jewish community, after his 1979 embrace of PLO leader Yasser Arafat, Jackson called me to say he feels "vindicated" by the events of the last week. Israel and the PLO have not onlyrecognized each other, but the United States has resumed diplomatic relations with the PLO as well. Suddenly, Arafat seems downright cuddly. In our phone conversation, Jackson made two points. In the black community, Israel's traditionally close relations with white-ruled South Africa are quickly becoming a moot point. South Africa is pivoting toward majority rule, and it is only a matter of time until the United States drops its trade embargo. Under those circumstances, Israel's relations with the new South Africa will probably be no different from those of other nations, black African ones included. No longer will critics of Israel be able to single it out as a supporter of a racist regime. As for the Palestinians, here again a difference between American blacks and Jews is fast disappearing. Jackson maintains that support for the Palestinian cause, which some American Jews have taken as an indication of antisemitism, is really nothing of the sort, but empathy for a subjugated people instead. "We live in the West Bank of America," Jackson said of African Americans. "We live under occupation." [click here to continue]   Increased Prevalence Of HCV Antibodies In Dialyzed Ashkenazi Jews--A Possible Ethnic Predisposition —Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation The prevalence of hepatitis C (HCV) antibodies in dialysis patients is considerably higher than that found among healthy blood donors. This increased seroprevalence has been correlated to increased duration of dialysis, mode of dialysis and to the number of blood transfusions administered. However, factors other than nosocomial ones also seem to play a part in disease transmission. The role of the patient's ethnic origin, possibly reflecting on his/her genetic makeup has received scant attention. In this study, HCV seroprevalence in our dialysis population, which consists of three major ethnic subgroups (Ashkenazi Jews, Sephardi Jews and Arabs), was examined. METHODS AND RESULTS. Altogether HCV seropositivity was determined in 120 dialysed patients--65 males/55 females (76 hemodialysis, 44 CAPD), using second generation ELISA confirmed by RIBA-2. Mean age was 59.7 +/- 15.7 (range 16-86 years). Patients had to have been on dialysis for a minimum of 3 months (mean duration 45.2 +/- 44.5 months). Patients whose end-stage renal disease was due to diabetic nephropathy (DN) or those who had previously been transplanted (TP) were considered as separate groups and compared to the group as a whole. Of the 120 patients, there were 49 Ashkenazi Jews (40.8%), 57 Sephardi Jews (47.5%) and 14 Arabs (11.7%). Overall HCV prevalence was 21.7% (26/120) with a significantly greater prevalence in HD compared to CAPD (30.3 vs. 6.8%, P < 0.01). Respective values for Ashkenazi Jews, Sephardi Jews and Arabs were 30.6, 15.8, and 14.3% (P < 0.01, Ashkenazi Jews vs. Sephardi Jews and Arabs). DN had a lower 3.7% while TP had a higher 46.1% prevalence compared to the group as a whole (P < 0.01). In general, the increased frequency of anti HCV antibodies was significantly correlated to the duration of dialysis and the number of blood transfusions administered. This, however, was not the case in the greater prevalence of HCV found in Ashkenazi Jews compared to Sephardi Jews and Arabs which was independent of the above factors and the mode of dialysis. CONCLUSION. Our results showing increased HCV seropositivity in Ashkenazi Jews compared to Sephardi Jews and Arabs, suggest that ethnic factors might predispose to HCV transmission and infectivity. [click here to continue]   A Rapid Method For Site-Specific Mutagenesis Using Larger Plasmids As Templates —Biotechniques To facilitate the introduction of specific point mutations in plasmids that are too large to be amplified efficiently by a single PCR, we have developed a method for site-directed mutagenesis by generating partial plasmid fragments, which introduces changes as simply as conventional techniques. Plasmids containing a fragment of the human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) envelope gene were subjected to PCR with four pairs of PCR primers for each desired point mutation. One primer in each of two of these four pairs contained the desired mutation. The four pairs of primers were designed so that four overlapping fragments were amplified from the plasmid template, two of which contained the mutation. These fragments were then reannealed and electroporated directly into Escherichia coli. The desired mutation was typically found in 66% to 83% of the resulting colonies. The technique is almost as simple as previous techniques, shows similar efficiency and is applicable to plasmids that would normally be too large for efficient site-specific mutagenesis. The entire procedure, from PCR amplification to transfection into E. coli, can be completed in one day. [click here to continue]   The Complete Nucleotide Sequence Of The Gene Coding For Diphtheria Toxin In The Corynephage Omega (tox+) Genome —Nucleic Acids Research A segment of corynephage omega (tox+) DNA, containing the gene for diphtheria toxin (tox) was fragmented with restriction enzymes and the fragments cloned into M13 vectors for nucleotide sequence determination. A long open reading frame was shown to encode the tox gene by comparing the predicted amino acid sequence with that of peptides derived from the mature toxin molecule. Analysis of the nucleotide sequence shows RNA polymerase and ribosome binding signals preceding a GTG codon in the open reading frame: if this is the correct starting signal for translation, then a 25 amino acid signal peptide can be predicted for the toxin molecule.
